BACHELOR OF THEOLOGY (B. TH)
This is a three year course providing extensive training in both Biblical and physical areas. It will prepare the student for Pastoral Ministry, evangelism, and missions and lay a firm post graduate study. Medium of instruction in English. Minimum qualification for admission is 12th pass or equivalent.
Requirement for Graduations
- A minimum of 40% marks in all examinations.
- Satisfactory performances in Practical Ministry.
- Demonstration of ability in sermon preparation and delivery skills.
- A student who passed in Comprehensive examinations.
Comprehensive Examination
All Bachelor of Theology who study final year course should face this Comprehensive examination. A student who fails to fulfill may not qualify to graduation.
DESCRIPTION OF COURSE ( BACHELOR OF THEOLOGY)
Objectives :
- To understand the Bible as the right perspective.
- To be Theologically trained so that they may train others.
- To be spiritually mature enough to interpret the Bible correctly and address the theological and social issues critically.
- To integrate academic skills with Christian faith and ministerial commitment.
- To transform the world with their witnessing life and effective ministry.
Qualification for Admission : 12th pass or equivalent from a recognized Board/University; the applicant must have the definite call for the ministry.
Duration of the Course : 3 years of study. Two years for those candidates holding Diploma in Theology (Two-year programme) from a recognized Theological Institution. Each candidate who applies for Three-year B. Th should pass an entrance examination conducted by the College. The Candidate’s Bible knowledge, General knowledge, and familiarity with English language will be examined.
Commitment Pledge
Every student on being granted admission to Mizoram Bible College has to sign a Commitment Pledge rededicating himself/herself to the Lord’s Ministry, and promising to submit fully to the Rules and Regulations, and Requirements of the Christ-Centered Institution. As such, the Commitment Pledge cannot be taken lightly or for granted, and must be signed by only those who are aspiring to lead a life of Christian obedience, worthy of the high calling to which he/she has been called.

Numbering of Courses
All course numbers have three digits – the first digit denotes the classification of the department. The second digit indicates the department, which teaches the course. The third digit shows the sequence of several courses in a respective department within a degree programme. The six departments are :
- Bible Studied (BS)
- Theological Studies (TS)
- Historical Studies (HS)
- Ministerial Studies (MS)
- Religious Studies (RS)
- General Studies (GS)
Note : All lectures and instructions are conducted in English.
