Statement of Faith

  1. Scripture

We believe that the Bible (scripture) is the word of God, are the inspired, infallible, and authoritative. They are the final rule for faith, doctrine, and life (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21). The Bible is God-breathed, and therefore it is without error in the original manuscripts, fully trustworthy in all that it affirms, including matters of faith, history, and ethics. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters of doctrine and practice.

  2. Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit— equal in power and glory—who has revealed Himself in the person of Jesus Christ (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). These beings are different in person and function but equal in essence, power, and glory. This triune God is the Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer of all things. God the Son, Jesus Christ, is eternally begotten of the Father, the Word made flesh, who came to achieve redemption through His life, death, and resurrection. God the Holy Spirit is wholly God and is descended from the Father and the Son. He is currently at work in the world, praising Christ and persuading people of sin, righteousness, and judgment.

  3. God the Father

We believe in God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth, who is sovereign over all, perfectly holy, just, and loving, and who providentially rules over all things for His glory and our good (Genesis 1:1; Psalm 103:19; Romans 8:28).

  4. Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity, virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and personal return of Jesus Christ. He is the only Mediator between God and humanity (John 1:1–14; Colossians 1:15–20; Hebrews 4:15).

  5. Holy Spirit

We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit, who convicts us of our sins, regenerates, sanctifies, empowers, and indwells every believer, uniting them with Christ and equipping them for godly living and service (John 14:16–17; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22–23).

  6. Humanity and sins

We believe that man is created in the image of God. Free from sins but after the temptation from Satan and fall of men everyone is born sinful and separated from God through the fall of Adam. We are condemned and need a savior to reconcile us to God. Humanity's only hope of salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ (Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1–3).

  7. Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone and scripture alone. It is not earned by works but is the gift of God. The Salvation includes Regeneration, Conversion, Justification, Adoption, Sanctification, Baptism with the Spirit, Perseverance of Saints, Glorification, Union with Christ (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 5:1; Titus 3:5–7). This salvation is accomplished solely through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and is applied to individuals by grace alone, through faith alone, and not on the basis of human works or merit.

  8. The Church

We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all who have been united to Him by grace through faith. Christ is the Head of the Church, and all true believers are members of His body, called to live in covenant community and to reflect His character and mission in the world (Eph. 1:22–23; Col. 1:18; 1 Cor. 12:12–27).

  9. Last Things

We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead. There will be a bodily resurrection of the righteous to eternal life and the unrighteous to eternal separation from God. (John 5:28–29; Rev. 20:11–15; 1 Thess. 4:13–18).

  10. Christian life and Mission

We believe that Christians are called to live holy lives in obedience to the Word of God, empowered by the Spirit, reflecting the character of Christ, and engaging in the mission of making disciples of all nations as Christ has instructed us (Rom. 12:1–2; Matt. 5:16; Matt. 28:19–20).

Brief History

Rev. Dr. L.M. Andrew had served as a Principal in the Assemblies of God Bible School for more than 10 years. During his stay as a Principal in the Bible School, the Lord called him to start his own ministry and started a new Hostel called "Emmanuel Christian Hostel" with a few students. And after he step out from the Assemblies of God Bible School, he established "Emmanuel Theological College" later called "Mizoram Bible College" with his brother on 1st September, 2008.

The college is under the control of Board Committee and the direct management of the Principal, aided by the faculty. MBC assumes that every student who receives admission has a call from the Lord Jesus Christ to preach, and has an honest desire to make the most of the training given. Each student is on his/her honor to observe College rules and regulations, to co-operate with the administration in a wholesome and Spiritual atmosphere. Each student should be so engrossed in the word of God, and so filled with the Holy Spirit, that his/her whole life will be completely surrendered to God. All students are expected to exercise self-control and discipline. College life is guided to develop high spiritual, academic and social values.

Philosophy of Mission

The Motto of MBC is thus simple and singular. “Reaching the World with the Word through SERVANTS of the word” for the extension and maturity of the church which is “the One and Only program of God for Today”. The college is solely convinced that the effectiveness of any Mission & Church work depends on how one or a Mission or a Church is biblically and theologically grounded on-and-in the WORD and Prayer. So, the college strives at all cost to meet this standard.

MBC is committed to Biblio-centric and Holistic training of God’s Servants, shaped by Christ-like-lifestyle; preparing them by imparting sound teaching of God’s word; motivating them for Evangelism & Mission work; helping them seek, save, disciple, and train the others in turn for the expansion of the “Church”.

Objectives

The main objectives of MBC are :

  1. To train Christian ministers in the knowledge of the word of God for effective in ministry.
  2. To maintain an atmosphere in the Spiritual life of the Students.
  3. To maintain the Academic standard of students.
  4. To stimulate evangelistic and mission zeal to evangelize Mizoram and the region beyond.
  5. To maintain students personal life, characters, behaviours and careers.

Motto

EQUIPPING TO TRANSFORM

At Mizoram Bible College, the motto "Equipping to Transform" is more than just a phrase — it is the heartbeat of our mission. As a non-denominational institution rooted in the vibrant spiritual and cultural soil of Mizoram, we are committed to nurturing disciples who are fully equipped to transform their communities and the world for the glory of God.

We believe that transformation begins with biblical truth. Our students are trained in sound theology, grounded in Scripture, and encouraged to develop a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Through academic rigor, spiritual formation, and practical ministry opportunities, we equip men and women to serve faithfully in churches, mission fields, and various spheres of life.

Transformation also happens through character and calling. At Mizoram Bible College, students are mentored to become Christlike leaders—servant-hearted, mission-minded, and socially responsible. Whether they are called to be pastors, evangelists, teachers, or community leaders, we aim to sharpen their gifts and ignite their passion for kingdom work.

Lastly, "Equipping to Transform" reminds us that true education must impact both the heart and the hands. Through community outreach, koinonia fellowship, and everyday campus life, students are encouraged to live out their faith in action, becoming agents of change and hope in Mizoram and beyond.

Philosophy of Education

The Educational Philosophy of MBC is solely based on the inerrant scripture. The college stands firm as Theo-Christo-Centric in Academic and Spiritual life. Therefore, the foundation of entire Educational Program revolves around the Triune God and His inerrant Word with the sole commitment for excellence and spiritual formation.
